How to Root and Install TWRP recovery in Nokia 6

After waiting for long time here we have rooting method for Nokia 6. Rooting is a process which is risky but at the same time it is fun to experiment with your devices. We only suggest to root your phone if you have some knowledge about rooting and its advantages and disadvantages.

Two Major disadvantages of Rooting:

1. Your Phone's warranty will be Void.
2. Your Phone may be bricked while doing this process (Do this at your own risk).


#Requirements:

1. OST Tool (from here) .
2. Online Update Tool Patch(from here) .
3. Password for Patch - 123 .
4. Nokia 6 Firmware (from here) .
5. Recovery image ( from here) .
6. Superuser.zip (from here).
7. Material Theme - Download any one (from here).

#Procedure:


1. Download Flash Tool and Firmware from above link and install.
2. You need to Patch the Flash Tool.
   a) Open Install diretory of OST Tool (C:\Program Files (x86)\OST LA) and replace OnlineUpdateTool.exe with the patched file.
   b) Delete OnlineUpdateTool.exe.cofig file from the same folder.
3. Open OST LA from installation directory instead of Start Menu.
4. Browse and load your OFW you downloaded with extension name nb0.
5. Power off your phone.
6. Open recovery mode and select fastboot mode.
7. Now connect your Phone to PC.
8. Click on Edit Phone info in OST tool.
9. This will load a service purposed bootloader. When your phone reboots and re-enters the Download mode, the service purposed bootloader is now loaded.
10. You can close OST LA when it prompts “Boot FTM mode fail”, or just kill it in task manager if it’s not responding.
11. Open a command prompt or PowerShell in OST LA Installation Directory.
12. Type this command ".\fastboot-android flash recovery E:\recovery.img".
    Note: E is the directory where you have recovery.
13. Now type this command ".\fastboot-android reboot" but do not execute.
14. Press and Hold "Volume Up" and "Power" and now click Enter to execute above command (line 13).
15. Go to install(first option) -> select the theme which you have downloaded after install go back to home.
16. Go to Reboot(last option) -> Themes(second last option) -> select that theme which you just have installed.
17. Reboot and now your twrp recovery will be in English.

Note: This method is tested on TA-1000 so try at your own risk for other variants.
